Former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods recently appeared on WWE's "After The Bell", and Kofi went into detail on his squash match against Brock Lesnar on SmackDown premiere episode on FOX.

SmackDown's debut on FOX saw Kingston defending his WWE title against Brock Lesnar. The match lasted around 10 seconds, and Lesnar made quick work of Kofi with an F5. Kingston went back to doing his shenanigans with The New Day after the loss. While talking about the match, Kingston explained why it didn't make sense for his character to get a rematch after losing in a matter of seconds.

And the reality… I’m a good guy who lost in 8 seconds, so as far as making a case for a rematch …. uhhhhh, like, what would my character have to say. You’re wanting my real-life character to take on this anger and be mad with what happened on-screen. So it’s just this weird conundrum.

Kingston had won the WWE title back in April, when he defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35. The dominant reign saw Kofi putting down a string of Superstars, most notably Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Kingston currently holds the SmackDown Tag Team titles with Big E.
