Kurt Angle issues statement, Steiner vs TNA update

Kurt Angle issues statement

- We had reported on Kurt Angle’s brother David Angle getting arrested on homicide charges on Sunday, after his wife was found dead in the living room of their house in Pittsburgh. Kurt had, through his manager, sent out a word asking for privacy to allow him to mourn his loss.

Below are tweets from the Olympic gold medallist, from yesterday:

- The ongoing lawsuit between TNA and former employee Scott Steiner has been announced to go before a judge on February 11th, 2016 in Nashville. The lawsuit has been going on for a couple of years now, stemming from Steiner making incendiary remarks about TNA and then employees Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Brooke Hogan and Bruce Pritchard on social media following his release from his contract with TNA

TNA had claimed Steiner was in breach of his contract when he made those comments and has been seeking damages and an injunction to stop him from speaking out in future. On Steiner’s part, he has denied about ever being in breach of contract, or agreeing to not make any disparaging comments about TNA. He has also denied ignoring requests to stop or that he was involved in a ‘concerted effort to disparage’ TNA as a company.

The lawsuit had been scheduled a few times over the years, including on last June, but just kept getting pushed back as both sides were reportedly working on a settlement. It looks like the talks didn’t work out towards a settlement as a trial has been ordered.

Scott Steiner joined TNA in 2006 and was with the company on and off till end of 2011, when his contract ran out. Since then, Steiner has gone on to lambast both TNA and the Bischoff/Hogan regime for undermining him and other talents during his time in the company.
