Lana signs "multi-million dollar deal" with WWE
Following earlier rumors, Lana has confirmed that she has signed a new contract with WWE, stating that it was a "multi-million dollar" deal which would officially extend her stay with the company.
We detailed earlier how Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin, who also appears on WWE Backstage, reported that Lana had committed her future to the company, signing a five-year deal which would allow the Ravishing Russian to take time away from wrestling to pursue projects outside of the WWE - such as the movie she and Rusev co-produced and starred in called “Another Version Of You”.
It would appear that the deal is now official, as confirmed by Lana on Twitter.
Lana has been a part of WWE since 2013, starting out as a "social ambassador" for real-life husband Rusev, but would make her in-ring debut in 2016 after being trained by former WWE Superstar Tyson Kidd.
As far as Rusev is concerned, it's being reported that no deal has been signed, but that negotiations are ongoing. Lana and Rusev are currently involved in a love triangle storyline with two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Bobby Lashley.
