Long overdue reunion; Judgment Day issues? - 4 reasons why Dominik Mysterio should turn face in WWE

Dominik Mysterio currently portrays a heel on WWE television as a member of The Judgment Day. The former NXT North American Champion is married in real life but is in a storyline relationship with Women's World Champion Liv Morgan on RAW.

Dirty Dom used to be in a storyline relationship with Rhea Ripley previously but betrayed the 28-year-old earlier this year at SummerSlam. Finn Balor and Mysterio have been arguing with each other in recent weeks on WWE RAW, and it could lead to a character change for the former champion.

Listed below are four reasons why Mysterio should turn face on WWE RAW:

#4. The WWE Universe loves to hate Dominik Mysterio

Wrestling fans have accepted Dominik Mysterio as a heel and love to boo him whenever he tries to cut a promo. The 27-year-old is barely allowed to speak before the WWE Universe jeers him out of the building.

Mysterio may decide that he wants to know what it is like to have the crowd on his side and turn babyface in the weeks ahead. Wrestling fans would likely forgive Myserio and root for his success if he were to undergo an attitude change down the line.

#3. Mysterio has never won a singles title on the main roster

Dominik Mysterio has never won a singles title on the main roster during his time with The Judgment Day. The group has arguably not helped him improve as a wrestler, and he is usually always trying to ensure his stablemates have success, rather than focusing on his career.

Mysterio had a brief reign as North American Champion last year and was upset at The Judgment Day for not being there for him when he lost the title. The RAW star could decide to focus on himself and leave his faction behind in the weeks ahead.

#2. The Judgment Day doesn't believe in him

Dominik Mysterio recently suggested that he could challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship and Carlito laughed in his face. Finn Balor has been consistently talking down to Mysterio on WWE RAW and believes that the faction should follow his directions.

Mysterio could finally stand up to Balor in the weeks ahead and it could lead to major friction within The Judgment Day. Rather than staying in the group and accepting his role, the 27-year-old could decide to turn babyface and become a singles star on RAW.

#1. Mysterio could turn face to reunite with his father

Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio have not been on good terms for years now. The Hall of Famer has defeated his son at the past two WWE WrestleMania events. Rey picked up the victory over his son in a singles match at WWE WrestleMania 39, and then teamed up with Andrade to defeat him and Santos Escobar at The Show of Shows earlier this year.

Despite their issues, Rey and Dominik Mysterio had captured the SmackDown Tag Team Championship together in the past. The father-son duo could potentially reunite and go after The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh's World Tag Team Championship.
