Long-time Triple H guy, former tag champion ready to go solo - 4 WWE stars whose careers need to be prioritized in 2025

WWE has had a massive 2024, where new champions have been crowned, big stars have debuted, and the company has put on some of its biggest shows ever. For example, between the Royal Rumble, two nights of WrestleMania, Elimination Chamber Perth, and SummerSlam, the Sports Entertainment titan has had five nights in massive stadiums in one calendar year. That is surely a record.

Much of their success comes thanks to Triple H leading creative and the incredible roster he has assembled. In most cases, the talented performers are being booked better and more effectively than they were under Vince, reaching new heights in the process.

Still, there are some superstars who are either being mishandled, underutilized, or simply deserve special care moving forward to become the biggest names they possibly can. This article will take a look at four stars from RAW and SmackDown who must be prioritized by The Game in 2025.

Below are four WWE stars whose careers need to be prioritized in 2025.

#4. Karrion Kross was once a major Triple H project

Karrion Kross has had an interesting run in WWE. During his time on NXT, Triple H oversaw his development and rapidly pushed Kross to the top of the roster. He even became NXT Champion under The Game's watchful eye.

Unfortunately, Kross had a terrible call-up to the main roster under Vince McMahon and he was quickly fired. Triple H re-hired Karrion in 2022, and while he's been routinely used and even leads The Final Testament, he hasn't really sniffed the main event scene.

This could and should change in 2025. Triple H needs to put his effort into getting Kross more over with WWE fans and positioned in matches and stories with more top guys. Perhaps a feud with Sami Zayn and even Jey Uso could be what gets Kross to the next level. Regardless, given that he was once a Triple H guy and a Triple H project, he should get focus in 2025.

#3. Dakota Kai is ready to break out in WWE

Dakota Kai has had another interesting journey in WWE. Much like Kross, she was a big name on NXT, although never the NXT Women's Champion. She was also released by Vince McMahon before being re-hired in 2022.

Since returning, Dakota has been a member of Damage CTRL and quite successful. She is a multi-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion and has competed in tag team action at WrestleMania.

What Dakota hasn't done, however, is get a singles push of any kind on the main roster. Given that she's likely returning from injury soon, Kai could and should finally start getting a singles push in 2025. Perhaps Triple H could book her as the inaugural Women's Intercontinental Champion?

#2. Ilja Dragunov could be a top guy

Ilja Dragunov is one of the most intense wrestlers in WWE and maybe the history of the company. His intensity has served him well, however, as it led to him becoming a top star on both NXT UK and later on NXT.

The Mad Dragon was called up to WWE's main roster in the 2024 Draft. Since then, he has headlined RAW on several occasions, but his push has still been somewhat reserved despite his immense talent.

That should change in 2025. Ilja does look to be starting a feud with The Judgment Day, which should elevate him to the next level, but it is important that Triple H gets behind the former United Kingdom Champion. Ilja is too talented not to push towards the top of the company and it should start in 2025, if not sooner.

#1. Jacob Fatu should be a massive star in World Wrestling Entertainment

The Bloodline runs WWE Friday Night SmackDown. Solo Sikoa has changed the group entirely, booting out Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman, while bringing in Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. The latter is the most important addition of them all.

Jacob Fatu is a special talent. The Samoan Werewolf has an aura unlike anyone else in WWE and in pro wrestling. He is physically imposing, charismatic, great on the microphone when given time to showcase it, and he can do unbelievable moves that wow the audience.

While Fatu is no doubt being pushed in 2024, 2025 needs to be a special year for The Samoan Werewolf. Triple H and World Wrestling Entertainment need to elevate him to the top of the card and give him special attention, as he is a rare once-in-a-lifetime talent who deserves the focus.
