Major assault on best friend, Solo Sikoa gets his fifth man? - 4 things Kevin Owens can do on WWE SmackDown this week

Things have been quite interesting lately on WWE SmackDown. You have ongoing stories in the tag team ranks, the women's division, the women's tag team picture, and beyond. Much of these angles include personal vendettas and long-term build or they play on major rumors and speculation.

The most interesting angle on SmackDown, and perhaps in all of the company, revolves around Kevin Owens. The lovable, yet grumpy, Prizefighter has recently snapped and is rapidly becoming one of, if not the, top heels in the company.

The former Universal Champion has been having serious issues with two of the top babyfaces in the company and it has led to some outright dangerous moments. He was even temporarily suspended by Triple H and upper management thanks to his actions.

Still, he is no longer suspended pending any shocking news coming out of last week's episode. As a result, he will almost certainly be on SmackDown tonight. This article will take a look at a handful of things Owens can do on the blue brand later on tonight.

Below are four things Kevin Owens can do on WWE SmackDown this week.

#4. He could mock Randy Orton after the vicious Piledriver from last week

WWE Friday Night SmackDown last week featured one of the most intense segments in recent memory. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton were going toe-to-toe in the middle of the ring when disaster struck.

While referees and other WWE officials attempted to keep the two talented stars from tearing each other apart, Kevin Owens got free. He proceeded to hit Randy Orton with a piledriver, a move banned by the company. Fans, officials, and Cody Rhodes were all shocked. Cody joined Orton as he was brought to the hospital in an ambulance.

While The Viper will almost certainly miss SmackDown, Kevin Owens could get interview time and publicly mock Orton for what happened. If this new side of Kevin is truly an evil heel, he would likely mock Randy and his injured neck after such a ruthless attack.

#3. Kevin Owens could brutally assault Sami Zayn on WWE SmackDown

The reason why Kevin Owens turned heel, even if he didn't do anything wrong in his own eyes, is related to Roman Reigns. He was shocked and horrified that his friend Cody Rhodes teamed up with his long-time enemy at WWE Bad Blood. When Orton "took Cody's side," Kevin snapped on him too.

If working with Roman Reigns is enough to make The Prizefighter snap, his best friend could be in big trouble. Sami Zayn has shockingly reunited with The OG Bloodline, including Roman Reigns. This comes after Kevin and Sami both fought the group for a long time.

As a result, Sami could be Kevin's next victim. Come SmackDown, Owens could jump his long-time friend and tag team partner. This could happen in the parking lot or backstage. Regardless, it could be enough to cost Sami a chance at fighting in WarGames alongside Roman and The Usos.

#2. He could fight Cody Rhodes

While Kevin Owens has been so focused on his issues with Randy Orton, it should be noted that his true issue was and likely still is with the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Realistically, tension between them have been brewing for months.

Owens and Rhodes had a match months ago where Kevin felt he hadn't earned the Undisputed WWE Title opportunity. Many assumed he would turn heel on Cody, but he didn't. Not until Rhodes "broke his heart" by uniting with Roman Reigns for one night to take on The Bloodline.

Given their animosity with each other, it makes sense for the two to fight. They can brawl on SmackDown, finally letting their anger loose out on each other. If Nick Aldis insists, he can break it up and schedule an official match, but either way, they might fight.

#1. The Prizefighter could join Solo Sikoa's WarGames team

One of the biggest matches coming up is the Men's WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series. Roman Reigns' OG Bloodline will take on Solo Sikoa's version of the dangerous wrestling stable.

Reigns' team features The OTC himself, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Sami Zayn. Meanwhile, the new Bloodline features Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. Notably, both sides only have four men each, but they need five.

Come Friday Night SmackDown, Kevin Owens could shockingly join Solo Sikoa's Bloodline for WarGames. While The Prizefighter has had issues with the group, he has had problems with Roman for far longer. As a result, he might work with Solo just to take Reigns out once and for all.
