Major NJPW star announces he is making the move to WWE

Anderson (right) with Gallows

The migration of four big names from New Japan Pro Wrestling to the WWE made waves in the media a few months ago. AJ Styles is getting into stride in the WWE, Shinsuke Nakamura is reportedly close to his NXT debut and now, Karl Anderson has made it public that he’s leaving NJPW soon.

Daily Wrestling News reports that Japanese pro wrestling journalist Enuhito tweeted that Anderson made the announcement on February 19th. Anderson came to the ring with partner Luke Gallows in what is supposedly their last appearance for the promotion.

The duo had defeated The Briscoes the previous day. In a touching farewell, Anderson called the NJPW fans the best in the world and said that he’ll come back someday for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, but for now he has to go and find out who he is.

It isn’t confirmed if Anderson’s partner, Luke Gallows is leaving in tow, but it expected. Here is Enuhito’s tweet:
