Maria Kanellis open to WWE NXT run?, Jim Cornette tribute, New ROH - New Japan event added, Valkyrie

Maria open for a NXT run?

- ROH First Lady Maria Kanellis did a Q&A on Twitter last week. She mentioned #GiveDivasAChance, stating that "women's equality in all fields is a great cause." She called the women in NXT "strong, powerful inspirations to all women," and was asked if she would sign with NXT. She replied:

- ROH and New Japan Pro Wrestling will now be presenting four shows this May. The company announced today that they will be adding an additional War of the Worlds '15 event on Tuesday, May 12th at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia. Tickets for this additional event will go on sale Monday, March 9th at 10am ET to the general public.

- Jim Cornette was honored at last night's Masters of Ring Entertainment's "Lasting Legacy: A Tribute to Jim Cornette" at the Coastline Convention Center in Wilmington, N.C. Newsday has photos from the event here.

Staten Island Live has an article here about last night's Valkyrie Women's Professional Wrestling event. It was noted that the event was the first all-female pro wrestling show ever on Staten Island.

"We want to produce positive female role models," said Valkyrie chief event organizer Kris Levin. "Girls today are always presented with the image of a princess, but where are the tough women?"
