Matt Hardy, along with his brother Jeff, became household names in one of WWE’s golden periods in the late 1990s – Attitude Era. Although Matt had a fairly successful singles career for himself, he was best known for his time in the tag team division as one-half of The Hardy Boys. Matt Hardy’s career value and his net worth are as high as they are today, in no large part, thanks to the tremendous success and popularity the duo enjoyed in arguably the most successful period in professional wrestling history.
Before delving into Matt’s net worth and his other ventures, let us first take a look back at the near two-decade career of the elder Hardy.

Matt Hardy was born on September 27th, 1974 in Cameron, North Carolina. Matt Hardy was an excellent student during his school days and even secured a scholarship to any college of his choice. He decided to pursue engineering at the University of North Carolina but dropped out a year later.
Growing up as big professional wrestling fans, Matt and Jeff Hardy would often imitate the moves of their favourite wrestlers in their own, created federation called Trampoline Wrestling Federation (TWF).
The Hardy Boys founded their own promotion called Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts (OMEGA) Championship Wrestling, along with some of their friends. This organisation played an instrumental role in facilitating the launch of the careers of both, Matt and Jeff Hardy.
After working two years for smaller promotions, Matt Hardy starting working as an enhancement talent (jobber) in the WWE in 1994. Four years later, he was offered a full-time deal with the company, alongside his brother Jeff and they went on to have an incredible success in the tag team division of the WWE during the Attitude Era.
Pioneering the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match concept with their high-octane and daredevil style; the high-flying tandem were involved in some of the most gruelling, physical and exhilarating matches with Edge and Christian and The Dudleys (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley). Matt Hardy became an eight-time tag team champion during his tenure in the WWE.
He also had an accomplished singles career capturing the ECW Championship, WWE United States Championship, WWE Cruiserweight Champion, WWE European Championship and the WWE Hardcore Championship once each.
Hardy had a tumultuous year-long stint with the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2011, during which he was battling a litany of personal demons and legal issues. His issues ultimately saw Matt Hardy getting suspended from TNA.
Following his TNA departure, Matt Hardy competed in numerous independent promotions over the next twenty-four months such as Ring Of Honor, Pro Wrestling Syndicate, Family Wrestling Entertainment and Maryland Championship Wrestling among others. Hardy returned to TNA in 2014, becoming a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

However, arguably his greatest success as a singles performer came after his World title runs, when he underwent a gimmick and character transformation as the controversial and polarising Broken Matt Hardy. After feuding with Brother Nero (Jeff Hardy), the duo reunited and again started teaming together, winning the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
For years, Matt was seen as the less important Hardy brother, but due to the ingenuity and brilliance of Broken Matt Hardy character, he has been able to free himself from his younger sibling’s shadow and is considered as the best character in professional wrestling and arguably the more relevant of the two brothers.
Matt Hardy’s Net worth – $10 million
Due to their overwhelming fame and popularity, Matt and Jeff used to collectively earn in excess of $350,000, during their stint with the WWE as a tag team. They were one of the most prominent merchandise sellers, which definitely played a huge contributing factor in their overall annual earnings.
After his splitting with his brother and embarking on a singles career, Matt received up to $320,000 downside guarantee, along with a share of merchandise sales, as he still sold a lot of merchandise for the company.

Matt Hardy resides in Cameron, North Carolina with his wife, Rebecca Sky and son Maxell ‘Max’ Hardy. His mansion is surrounded by greenery and small plants to the right side of the entrance of the house.
The driveway and the garage are situated behind on the left side of the house. Matt Hardy's car collection includes a yellow Corvette and a black Cadillac Escalade. There is a small passageway between Hardy’s kitchen and living room, is a wall which has one big cross and four small crosses flanked on the upper and lower side, as Matt Hardy is a big fan of the symbol of the cross.
In between the kitchen and living room is also a cabinet, where Hardy has displayed wrestling memorabilia such as action figures and picture arrangement, which contain pictures of him with his father and brother, Jeff Hardy.

The living room is quite spacious with two sofas and one big chair in front of the television. By the side of the television is a fireplace. Rest of the living room is decorated with more wrestling memorabilia including several action figures and DVDs.
There is another room adjacent to the living room which Hardy categorises as the ‘work room’ where he keeps his laptops. There’s another cupboard which contains more DVDs. There are separate compartments for books and old Video Home System tapes. This room also features a wall with photographs of Hardy with his family right from his childhood.
One of the bedrooms which Hardy occupies has another giant TV, bed and a few more professional wrestling memorabilia, in particular, original Hardy show tapes. The upper floor contains two more bedrooms.
Hardy’s Other Ventures
Matt Hardy appeared on a 1999 episode of That 70’s show. He also made appearances on Fear Factor in 2002 and Scare Tactics in 2009.
The Hardy Boys also penned their autobiographies entitled The Hardy Boyz: Exist 2 Inspire. Matt Hardy was also featured in a film called Pro Wrestlers vs. Zombies, along with his wife, Rebecca Sky.
Matt Hardy still operates as the co-owner of OMEGA Championship Wrestling, along with good friend Shane Helms, known to professional wrestling fans as Hurricane/Gregory Helms.
