WWE News: Mike Tyson comments on Ronda Rousey in WWE
What’s the story?
WWE Hall of Famer (celebrity wing), Mike Tyson recently spoke with WWE about a couple of topics, including Ronda Rousey joining the company.
In case you didn’t know…
Tyson's Hall of Fame induction was quite controversial due to his conviction for rape on an 18-year-old in 1991.
Despite this, WWE feels that he has qualified for the Hall of Fame honor as far as a celebrity goes, in terms of what he has done for WWE.
He made several appearances on WWE TV in 1998, was an honorary member of D-Generation X and served as the special enforcer for the WWE Championship main event between Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania XIV.
Tyson appeared on WWE Monday Night Raw as the guest host on January 11, 2010 and even made his return to the ring in a tag team match with Chris Jericho against D-Generation X.
Tyson revealed a DX T-shirt he was wearing under a black shirt and knocked out Jericho, which allowed Shawn Michaels to pin Jericho, giving DX the win.
The heart of the matter
Tyson was in attendance for Saturday's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, which was presented by John Cena.
Kathy Kelly caught up with him before the show and asked him about Ronda Rousey in WWE, as well as his future with WWE.
Tyson commented saying he'd be happy to come back to WWE if he was ever asked, and thought Rousey's WWE in-ring debut is "exciting" and "thought she'd do well'', all of which can be seen below.
What’s next?
Tyson currently voices a fictional version of himself in 'The Mike Tyson Mysteries'. An adult animated parody show of Scooby-Doo.
Author’s take
Tyson is one of those celebrities who is an actual fan of WWE and has a good feel for who will succeed.
