Missing the moment; Where's The Wiseman? - 5 mistakes Triple H must not make with Roman Reigns' return at WWE SummerSlam

Solo Sikoa has dared Roman Reigns to return to WWE during several promos. Taking over The Bloodline was the first shot fired at The Tribal Chief, but Sikoa has grown bolder with each passing week.

Cody Rhodes defeated Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40 and Solo blames his cousin for losing "their" title. The new Tribal Chief has earned a shot to reclaim the belt for The Bloodline at SummerSlam.

As Solo and his allies have taken out Kevin Owens and Randy Orton en route to Cleveland, it's heavily tipping the scales in their favor. Reigns' return has been teased for SummerSlam and could blast those scales out of the park.

If it comes to fruition at WWE SummerSlam in Cleveland, Triple H must not make the next five mistakes with one of the biggest returns in history.

#5. The return is extremely short

SummerSlam has seen the big returns of Brock Lesnar, Bayley, and many other top WWE Superstars. Lesnar and Bayley entered the ring to confront champions, setting up big matches for future events.

The seeds for a big SummerSlam moment have already been set with Solo Sikoa daring Roman to return and try to reclaim his throne. He's crowned himself the new Tribal Chief and remade The Bloodline with stars loyal to him.

With the way Roman Reigns has been booked throughout his career, any return needs to be a huge moment. Simply showing up at the end of SummerSlam for a few seconds won't be enough.

#4. He doesn't acknowledge Cody Rhodes

The three key players in everything that's happened since WrestleMania 40 are Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Cody Rhodes. Rhodes ended a tyrannical title run, enraging The Tribal Heir. It set in motion the entire angle following The Show of Shows.

If Rhodes retains his title, he could encounter a returning Roman Reigns. The two could simply nod heads at each other as a sign of respect. The Head of the Table could do this as Cody leaves before heading to the ring to confront the usurper, Sikoa.

#3. He doesn't confront someone

As mentioned above, Roman Reigns must cross paths with at least two big names from SmackDown. His history with Cody Rhodes has driven the WWE over the last two years. Their feud was one of the most successful in wrestling folklore.

Once Solo Sikoa joined The Bloodline and was named Tribal Heir, fans knew a potential civil war could happen in the future. After losing to Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, that civil war came into focus.

Returns must be done for a reason and with conviction. Reigns needs to encounter either Rhodes, Sikoa, or both stars. If he just shows up backstage, arriving in Cleveland, or comes out to the ring for adulation, it'll be a huge misfire.

#2. Roman Reigns returns without The Wiseman

The groundwork for The Bloodline was laid when Paul Heyman accompanied Roman Reigns at SummerSlam in 2020 and Payback. He represented the new version of The Big Dog and has acted as his advocate ever since.

When Reigns wasn't present for a show - and that happened a lot - Heyman was his proxy. He could sell the ongoing feud and confront the next challenger for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

The Wiseman was the second-most important member of The Bloodline but was brutally attacked by the new version of the group. He's a non-competitor and over 50. Heyman is too important to the group and to Reigns. He must be at Roman's side when he returns to present a unified front.

#1. The anticipated return doesn't happen at all

The biggest mistake Triple H could make with Roman Reigns is not having him return at SummerSlam. Fans have loudly cheered for the former champion every time Solo Sikoa has hit the ring or cut a backstage promo.

He's not injured, so that isn't holding things back from coming to pass in Cleveland. Few returns could rock the foundation of WWE more than Roman Reigns returning at The Biggest Event of the Summer.

The WWE Universe is calling for it to happen and the framework is set for a massive moment at SummerSlam. The fans will feel cheated and respond angrily If the event comes and goes without a re-emergence of The Head of the Table.
