MMA/WWE News: CM Punk promises victory on his UFC debut against Mickey Gall
CM Punk is just a few days away from making his debut in the octagon on September 10th at UFC 203. Punk left the WWE to join Dana White’s MMA promotion in 2014. In the June of 2015, he started training under Duke Roufus at Roufusport MMA Academy for his debut bout with a then-unknown opponent.
In the same year in October, Roufus announced that Punk had injured his shoulder, thus further delaying his debut to the next calendar year. On February 2016, Punk was diagnosed with a herniated disc in his bank, and underwent surgery a few days later.
On the 23rd of June, 2016, on the UFC Unfiltered podcast, CM Punk announced that the opponent for his debut match in the octagon at UFC 203 will be, Mickey Gall. Gall won the opportunity to face Punk after he defeated Mike Jackson in his UFC debut. Dana White had promised Gall that if he could manage to beat Jackson he would be given the opportunity to face Punk.
Punk, however, not deterred by all the problems he faced in the past year, guaranteed that he was going to beat Gall at UFC 203, and said that he might use one of his really popular wrestling move to do that. GTS in the Octagon? Who wouldn’t pay to see that?
But, on a serious note, Punk in a recent Instagram picture looked really lean and ripped, showing just how dedicated, and serious he is in doing this.

The UFC also released three episodes of Punk’s documentary, called the Evolution of Punk, about his journey from the day one of his training to his cage debut. The documentary is covering Punk’s personal and both professional part of his life, and also his rehabilitation from the above mentioned injuries.
What do you guys think? Is Punk going to win against Mickey Gall at UFC 203? Or will Gall prove to be the better man?
