Monday Night RAW: 3rd March 2014 - Superstar Ratings
The fans that rooted for some clobbering time in Chicago went home disappointed as CM Punk failed to make a much anticipated return to the squared circle. But keeping that apart, there were a lot for the talking points from this week’s show, which was well above an average outing.
Tag titles saw a surprising change of hands as the Usos finally got their hands on the gold while Shield took a more interesting turn when Seth Rollins walked out on his teammates. An unexpected main event between Daniel Bryan and Batista made the night for others.
And all seem to be well placed for WrestleMania now expect the Daniel Bryan situation which could be solved in the coming weeks. Well let’s not be concerned about the future now and take a look back at how this week’s Raw was for the wrestlers with the superstar ratings.
The New Age Outlaws – 5/10
Degenerates from the attitude Era will be heading home happy despite losing the titles this week as it has freed them of the misery of losing their legacy slowly.
The age factor was clearly catching on to the Outlaws in the reign and it proved to be the right time to take the titles away and give them something a bit less demanding to do in the meanwhile.
Big E – 5/10
After having a lot of momentum and a great push for the later part of 2013, Big E has been put into a shameful situation of being a weak link to expose the Real Americans storyline.
Being forced to wrestle twice in the same night, he showed no signs of his old sense whatsoever as his match against Cesaro never worked for him and the one against Swagger didn’t even start to be precise.
A credible feud before WrestleMania might be the only thing he wants now, as this is clearly not the direction he wants to go at the moment.
Brock Lesnar – 5/10
There weren’t much heat on Lesnar without the presence of Undertaker, but Paul Heyman deserves credit for holding things together.
Coming out for an opening segment in front of a hostile crowd is never an easy thing to do and Lesnar seemed to be the scape goat of that when he got no benefit whatsoever in giving Mark Henry an F-5 through the announce table.
Alberto Del Rio - 5/10
If there is one wrestler who that the WWE fans should be feeling sorry about it has to be Alberto Del Rio, from being a world champion a few months back, Del Rio has been relegated to midcard with no storyline.
He took another fall this week, when Aaron Paul decided to distract the Mexican in-between his match against Ziggler. Something has to give sooner than later if Del Rio’s career is to be saved coz this is clearly not the path he wants to go in.
John Cena - 5/10
Surprisingly, Cena seemed well off his game this week thanks to the fans in Chicago and a certain Bray Wyatt. Cena giving emphasis on Chicago didn’t work well either since the WWE is an international show.
However, Bray simply stole the show from Cena once he appeared in the screen. He was looking like a more than worthy opponent for Cena who was lost in the squared circle once the lights went off.
