What's the story?

WWE 24: WrestleMania Orlando debuted on the WWE Network following the 2018 Royal Rumble last weekend and it seems that even though there was a segment that included the Undertaker talking about his career, there was also a scene with The Deadman that was deleted.

In case you didn't know...

Undertaker's last match in a WWE ring came at WrestleMania 33 in a match that was called by Jim Ross and saw Undertaker lose to Roman Reigns. The Deadman then left his entrance attire in the ring and it was thought that this was the last time that the WWE Universe would see the former World Champion.

Undertaker did appear for the first time since last April on Monday Night Raw's 25th Anniversary show, where he delivered a cryptic promo that left many of the WWE Universe wondering if The Deadman had actually retired.

The WWE 24: WrestleMania Orlando documentary showed The Undertaker ahead of his match with Roman Reigns where he talked about his fear of becoming a parody of himself.

The heart of the matter

WWE premiered the latest WWE 24 documentary last weekend and it seems that even though The Undertaker did play a prominent part in the show, there was one scene that the company decided to take out of the final product.

According to a report by WWE Network News, there was a scene in the documentary that saw The Undertaker receiving pain relief backstage from a trainer. The segment ran for just over a minute and apparently included The Undertaker talking about having to do such things so that he could still give the fans the best performance possible.

What's next?

The Undertaker is still rumoured to be facing John Cena at WrestleMania 34 in just over two months time, even though it seems that the seeds for the feud are still yet to be planted. Recent reports suggest that it will be seen as one of the main events of the show.

Author's take

The Undertaker has put his body through a lot over the past few months and it seems that at his age he is being forced to rely on pain relief following his matches. There were a number of reports a few years ago that stated that The Deadman had collapsed after his matches, but it seems that WWE didn't want to show the fans what Undertaker had reduced himself to because of his addiction to the business.
