Nasty looking botch causes injury and mid-match substitution for The Undisputed Era
This week's NXT kicked off with The Undisputed Era claiming that they had dominated all weekend, even though the team actually lost inside WarGames. Tommaso Ciampa took the opportunity to state that he had won at WarGames and was now coming for Goldie, which lead to Finn Balor coming out to claim that he had to get past him first, a match that was announced for later in the show.
The match between Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish, Keith Lee, and Dominik Dijokovic kicked off the show as the NXT Tag Team Championships were put on the line, but it didn't exactly go to plan.
Lee picked up Bobby Fish in the opening stages of the match in a Gorilla Press position and threw him to the outside, O'Reilly was obviously supposed to catch him but he was too far away from the ring and wasn't able to get underneath.
This meant that Fish went straight to the floor from Lee's shoulders and hit O'Reilly's knees on the way down. NXT went to an ad break quickly before Roderick Strong was revealed as Fish's replacement on medical grounds when the show returned.
Further details on Fish's medical state are currently unknown, but Roderick Strong was able to help O'Reilly to retain their Championships in his absense by pinning Dijakovic.
Everyone at Sportskeeda would like to wish Bobby Fish the best in his recovery.
