WWE News: Natalya explains why she's proud of Jinder Mahal
What’s the story?
In a column written by her for The Calgary Sun, Natalya opened up on Jinder Mahal.
Natalya had words of high praise for Mahal; lauding the latter for his work ethic. Besides, “Nattie” also revealed why she’s proud of the Modern Day Maharaja.
In case you didn’t know…
Natalya and Mahal are widely regarded to be a part of an elite group of Canadian professional wrestlers today.
While Natalya is well-known as one of the greatest female in-ring competitors on the pro-wrestling scene today, Mahal rose to notoriety after defeating Randy Orton for the WWE Championship last year.
The heart of the matter
One ought to note that several professional wrestlers, not only from Canada but also of other nationalities backstage in WWE, hold Natalya in very high regard—viewing the former SmackDown Women’s Champion as one of the true veterans of the sport.
In her latest column for The Calgary Sun, Natalya revealed that she asked Jinder Mahal about who his dream rivalry is right now in WWE.
In response to which, Mahal asserted that it’d be none other than Seth Rollins.
Mahal recalled that the match for the inaugural NXT Championship was contested between him and Rollins—with Rollins defeating him and emerging as the first-ever NXT Champion.
Mahal added that Rollins went on to win several titles including the WWE Championship, whereas he too captured the WWE Championship. Natalya then stated—
“It is safe to say that Jinder has experienced his fair share of highs and lows in and out of WWE, but his work ethic, attitude and determination have taken him all the way to the top, right where he belongs.”
“Some people get discouraged by setbacks, while others, like Jinder, use it as motivation to be better, and work harder. To me, that encapsulates the spirit of WWE. Jinder is a force to be reckoned with in WWE. I couldn't be more proud of you, my friend!”
What’s next?
Both Mahal and Natalya were recently drafted from SmackDown to RAW, and are likely to be featured in prominent roles on the WWE’s red brand in the months to come.
WWE United States Champion Jeff Hardy will defend his title against Mahal at the Greatest Royal Rumble PPV which takes place at the King Abdullah International Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on April 27th.
Meanwhile, experts believe that Natalya is set to perform as an ally to Ronda Rousey on RAW in the weeks to come.
Author’s take
Honestly speaking, there aren’t many performers who’re as genuine and classy as Natalya.
This Superstar truly embodies what a role model ought to be, and her words of encouragement for Jinder Mahal are indeed praiseworthy.
Here’s hoping these two Canadian Superstars ascend to greater heights in WWE.
