Less than a year ago, we had to damn near beg for a single item on shop. This Wrestlemania week, The New Day was #1 in Merch sales.

Thanks to everyone who decides to wear a phallus on their head, buy a box of fictional cereal, and wants wrestling to be fun.

The New Day’s turn in fortunes has been nothing short of phenomenal, with the group receiving immensely negative reviews from fans and critics alike shortly after their WWE debut, with many stereotyping them as just another black gospel group.
However, the group broke away from their gospel characterization to create their own distinct identity, which made them stars in their own right in the process. The rejig of their identities was received very well by fans, who chanted "New Day rocks" during their appearances even though they were still villains.
Awards soon followed, with the group winning Rolling Stone’s awards for Comeback of the Year and WWE Wrestlers of the Year, followed by two WWE Tag Team Championships, making 2015 a very important year for them.
