New faction name revealed, "Thank You" basket for Vince McMahon, WWE star donates big
- The “Submission Sorority” is no more. It was announced on Monday Night Raw this week that the trio of Paige, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch would be using the name moving forward as part of the Divas Revolution. Unfortunately, it was eventually revealed that if the words “Submission Sorority” are entered in a search engine, a series of non-PC websites would emerge, which is a big no-no for World Wrestling Entertainment.
It didn’t take long for WWE officials to trash the name completely, though. It appears now that the three ladies will be referred to as the PCB instead, with the letters representing each of the Divas’ names (PCB: Paige, Charlotte, and Becky). However it remains to be seen whether it is a temporary name or a permanent one, but it also appears in the following YouTube descriptions for videos from tonight’s SmackDown:
“PCB’s Charlotte & Becky Lynch clash with Team B.A.D.’s Naomi & Sasha Banks.”
“After their victory over PaigeCharlotteBecky, Team B.A.D. lets the WWE universe know that they are the most dangerous tag team in the Divas Revolution.”
This episode clearly is an embarrassment to the WWE as the name “Submission Sorority” is used by BangBros for a series they have called HazeHer. What’s so funny about all of this is that the site has gone up in hits by 56 percent since WWE Raw, according to the BangBros traffic analyst Delilah McGinnis and that was not all as they also saw a 35% rise in website subscriptions. It is hilarious to think that WWE helped to add traffic to a non-PG website as a PG company. Obviously, it was not intentional, but it is nevertheless comical. The company is set to send a gift basket to Vince McMahon to thank him and WWE for the traffic help. This is obviously the funniest part of it all at the end of the day.
- Meanwhile ECW Original Jerry Lynn is undergoing neck surgery in Nashville, Tennessee today. Jerry Lynn has seen a lot of support from the wrestling community since launching his GoFundMe page a few days ago. Jerry was trying to raise $16,000 to help pay for his neck surgery and he’s currently raised $17,835 in only 3 days. Chris Jericho himself made a hefty contribution of $2,000. Jerry has promised to donate any money over $16,000 to the Nashville Rescue Mission charity.
Lynn recorded this message before neck surgery this morning:
“A special thank you from Jerry Lynn to everyone who helped with his #GoFundMe campaign this morning from the hospital before he undergoes surgery.”
