11-year WWE veteran confirms retirement status; he last appeared on this Monday Night RAW!

A WWE veteran who has been in the Stamford-based promotion for over ten years made his latest on-screen appearance on this week's episode of Monday Night RAW. The star recently clarified his current status, confirming whether he's still an active competitor or officially retired from in-ring action.

Adam Pearce, the current General Manager of RAW has only competed in two matches for the global juggernaut. The first was a Universal Title number one contender's Gauntlet match where Roman Reigns forced Pearce to pin Shinsuke Nakamura on the January 8, 2021, episode of SmackDown.

Later, on the March 1, 2021, episode of the flagship show, The Scrap Iron teamed with Braun Strowman and was defeated by The Hurt Business (Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander) in a match for the RAW Tag Team Championship.

The 46-year-old's last proper one-on-one bout took place at an MPW event in December 2014, where he locked horns with Ace Steel in a match that ended in a double disqualification.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet of INSIGHT, Adam Pearce claimed he could still physically compete between the ropes. Despite this assertion, the RAW General Manager considers himself retired for nearly a decade, a statement somewhat contradicted by his victory over Nakamura and a subsequent tag team match with the former WWE Universal Champion just three years ago.

"100%. Right now. How much do you pay me? I don’t want to either. I appreciate that though. I've been done for 10 years. December 21 of this year will be 10 years to the day I had my last pro match. Well, now I have to back up. If you rewind, five years or so I guess you could say that I hold the singles victory over Shinsuke Nakamura, which was in the main event of a SmackDown. And the last tag match I had if I'm thinking about that was as partners with Braun Strowman for the World Tag Team Title against Hurt Business, where I got beat," said Pearce. [H/T: CVV]

Adam Pearce makes huge announcement after WWE RAW

The Scrap Iron might have not won any championships in the Stamford-based promotion, but he's a five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Following Monday Night RAW, Adam Pearce recently took to Instagram to announce the launch of his own website.

"I existed years before I was working for WWE. You are likely here because of WWE, and I’m grateful. I invite you to know me outside of what you see on our television programs. Enjoy! ItIsOfficial.org," he wrote.
