12-time champion reacts to WWE fan commenting on his look
The WWE Universe is known for supporting its favorite superstars, but they can also heckle and crack jokes better than other fandoms. One veteran talent is taking it in today after a viral observation of his look.
Sheamus has been wrestling since 2002 and has been with World Wrestling Entertainment since 2006. As The Celtic Warrior, his trademark hair and pale skin help round out the gimmick. The former four-time World Champion was even once billed as The Great White, which was actually a reference to the shark.
The Irish star took to X/Twitter today to respond to a WWE fan and has been gloating over how well he's aged ever since. The fan shared images of Sheamus with 13 years in between, pointing to how he looks the same. The former three-time United States Champion quickly responded.
"pale dont stale. [baby emoji]," Sheamus wrote in response.
Sheamus is currently celebrating his 15th anniversary on the main roster. He began working in the FCW developmental territory in 2008 and then began working on the main roster's live events in May 2009. The former five-time Tag Team Champion's official main roster debut is listed as the June 30, 2009 edition of WWE's ECW brand.
Sheamus set for storyline continuation on next week's WWE RAW
The Brawling Brutes once dominated the SmackDown brand with Sheamus, Butch aka Pete Dunne, and Ridge Holland. The group ended up splitting shortly after The Celtic Warrior took time off for injuries last year.
Holland went back to NXT, and Butch was turned back to his old name, Pete Dunne, on the main roster. After Dunne lost to Bronson Reed on this week's RAW, Sheamus ran down to save his former tag team partner from another Tsunami splash. The Celtic Warrior eventually fought Reed off with a Brogue Kick and sent him packing.
The former World Heavyweight Champion then went to hug Dunne, but he was denied. WWE later announced Sheamus vs. Reed for next week's RAW. It will be interesting to see how creative uses the Bruiserweight's resentment over what happened with The Brawling Brutes.
This will be the first time ever Sheamus will go one-on-one against 'Big' Bronson Reed.
Next week's RAW in Dayton, OH will also feature Drew McIntyre's return, plus a SummerSlam face-off between Gunther and World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest.
