12-time WWE Tag Team Champions officially break up after being together for over a decade, Mick Foley reacts
The fallout episode of RAW after the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event left the WWE Universe in dismay. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day kicked Big E out of the group in a shocking swerve and Mick Foley has now shared his thoughts on the same.
During The New Day's tenth-anniversary celebration, the 38-year-old star returned to Monday Night RAW to help Woods and Kingston get back on the same page since they were one of the most decorated tag teams in the Stamford-based company, winning the tag team titles 12 times. The former WWE Champion offered his stablemates to serve them as their manager until he was not medically cleared for in-ring competition. However, Woods and Kofi turned down the offer and accused Big E of leaving them high and dry two years ago.
The 38-year-old star cited his neck issues as the reason behind his absence, but Woods and Kofi argued that legends like Edge, now known as Adam Copeland, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Kurt Angle also broke their necks but came back strong. Xavier claimed that Big E was never going to get medically cleared. The segment ended with Woods and Kofi refusing to hug it out with the former NXT Champion, forcing him to leave the ring.
Shortly after, WWE legend Mick Foley took to his Instagram stories to say that it was a rough night for The New Day and his heart was aching for Big E:
"A BAD NIGHT FOR NEW DAY! My heart was aching for poor @wwebige. These guys have meant so much to @wwe over the years."

Big E opens up about his WWE future amid injury hiatus
Big E recently wrote a column for The Players Tribune titled 'Sour,' in which he revealed that he was at peace even if he does not wrestle again.
The former WWE Champion said that he was looking forward to exploring other opportunities, hinting at transitioning to Hollywood.
"You know that thing I said earlier — how I’m someone who spent his past not being able to picture a future? I can picture one now. Which is ironic, I guess, since I broke my neck and can’t wrestle. But I’m at peace. And if that’s truly a wrap on my in-ring career….... I’m excited to explore the paths that are opening up for me in its wake. Whether it’s working for WWE outside of the ring, or it’s hosting, or acting, or voice work, or filmmaking, or so many other things. I feel like there are still so many parts of myself for me to discover," Big E wrote.
With The New Day in the rearview mirror now, it will be interesting to see what Triple H has in store for Big E as 2024 draws to a close.
