17-time champion breaks silence after stealing major WWE title on recent show

A WWE Superstar broke his silence after stealing a major championship on the latest episode of NXT.

The star in question is Akira Tozawa, who has been a sixteen-time 24/7 Champion and a one-time Cruiserweight Champion in the company.

The Halloween Havoc show was hosted by Shotzi and Scarlett and, in a backstage segment, the two women were seen giving a tarot card reading to the Meta-Four stable.

The group consists of NXT Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar, Jakara Jackson, Oro Mensah, and Lash Legend. The wrestling fans have known that Dar's most prized asset is the Heritage Cup. But while Scarlett and Shotzi were doing tarot reading for the Meta-Four, they were preoccupied and didn't keep an eye on the trophy.

This led to a golden opportunity for the 17-time WWE champion to sneak up behind the stable and steal the trophy before they even noticed. Taking to Twitter, Akira Tozawa broke his silence by reposting the clip of him stealing the Heritage Cup with a caption that read:

"DO NOT REPOSTšŸ¤«," he wrote.

What is next for Akira Tozawa in WWE?

For the past few weeks on Monday Night RAW, the former 24/7 Champion has been seen with the Alpha Academy. As a result, Tozawa has seemingly and quietly become the newest member of the Academy alongside Chad Gable, Otis, and Maxxine Dupri.

The 38-year-old WWE star has been involved in hilarious antics on RAW, where Gable and Dupri have been coaching him. On this week's episode of the red brand, Tozawa wanted to have a match with someone.

Hence, the star walked up to 'Big' Bronson Reed and challenged him to a match. When the latter star denied the offer, the 17-time champion delivered a chop to Bronson Reed, leading up to a contest between the two men.

After some decent work, Reed emerged victorious over Akira Tozawa, with Maxxine Durpi being embarrassed of him. It remains to be seen what the 38-year-old star does next after stealing the NXT Heritage Cup on NXT.
