2 current top WWE stars personally dislike John Cena despite respecting him professionally

WWE Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller claimed that he and his partner, Austin Theory, personally dislike John Cena. Nevertheless, they respect him professionally.

Cena first crossed paths with Waller at Money in the Bank last year. The segment saw the latter attack The Leader of the Cenation before the wrestling legend took him out with an Attitude Adjustment. The two shared the ring again a few months later, when the 47-year-old legend was a guest on The Grayson Waller on SmackDown in September.

Meanwhile, Cena had a brief feud with Austin Theory heading into WrestleMania 39. The two squared off in a United States Championship match at The Show of Shows, which ended in victory for A-Town.

The WWE Tag Team Champions recently did an interview with Going Ringside, in which they were asked about the wrestling universe's reaction to Cena appearing naked at the Oscars. As Waller answered, he stated that he and his partner personally dislike the 16-time World Champion, but they like him professionally because Cena is not afraid to be the butt of the joke:

"I remember we were at a live event and it was on one of the TVs and it's fine. One thing about John, like, obviously, we both personally don't like him but that's a personal issue. But, like, professionally, like, he's not afraid to make himself look silly. He's happy to be the butt of the joke and I think that's a valuable position to be in and there's a reason why he's in so many things in Hollywood. And just because we don't like him personally doesn't mean we can't respect what he does professionally in Hollywood," he said. [From 14:31 to 14:55]

Austin Theory says John Cena's Hollywood career took a hit after their match at WWE WrestleMania 39

Since WrestleMania 39, Austin Theory has not wasted any opportunities to brag about defeating John Cena on The Grandest Stage of Them All. In his interview with Going Ringside, the 26-year-old also addressed the subject.

The WWE Tag Team Champion claimed Cena's Hollywood career took a hit after their WrestleMania match:

"I mean, I did help John Cena out a lot with his Hollywood career, you know. I mean, well, actually, it might have went down a little bit, you know, because he showed up on the Grammys [Oscars] naked, he became a mermaid in Barbie, you know, after he lost at WrestleMania to Austin Theory," he said.

Cena last appeared on WWE TV on RAW After WrestleMania. It would be interesting to see if he will share the ring with Theory and Grayson Waller again upon his next comeback.
