2 ex-WWE Champions; Winners of 2025 Men's Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber match predicted by Sam Roberts

WWE analyst Sam Roberts recently made predictions for the upcoming Men's Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches. He claimed two multi-time world champions would be the winners.

Earlier this year, John Cena returned to announce his retirement plans. He disclosed that he would hang up his boots by the end of next year after embarking on a retirement tour. On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, the 41-year-old analyst suggested that Cena could lose the Royal Rumble match but win the Elimination Chamber to book his ticket to WrestleMania 41.

Meanwhile, the RAW Talk host predicted that Roman Reigns would win the Men's Royal Rumble match for the second time in his career to earn himself a spot in the main event of Night Two of next year's Show of Shows:

"In my mind, Roman Reigns wins the 2025 Royal Rumble. John Cena wins the 2025 Elimination Chamber," he said. [From 50:35 to 50:44]

Sam Roberts wants John Cena to lose at WWE WrestleMania 41

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Sam Roberts claimed John Cena could challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41.

The WWE analyst suggested that the Leader of the Cenation unexpectedly loses to The Ring General in the main event of Night One of next year's Showcase of The Immortals:

"I so badly wanna go into WrestleMania with this idea that, 'Okay, Gunther's had a long title reign. Clearly, this is where John wins the title and gets the record.' He doesn't. Gunther beats him. And it's like to me, that moment and that's why you can do it on night one because you can have a hero's thing on night two. Night one, you can have your villainous, you know, 'I can't believe it. What do you mean John Cena didn't... We were all here to celebrate John Cena.' And so, if anybody is gonna spoil it for John Cena at WrestleMania, I want it to be Gunther," he said.

Cena's last victory at WrestleMania was in 2017 when he teamed with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella to defeat The Miz and Maryse in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

Since then, the 47-year-old has had a three-match losing streak at The Show of Shows. It would be interesting to see if he can break that streak next year.
