2 Judgment Day members leaving the faction after WWE SummerSlam is possible, says ex-host
The Judgment Day has been a dominant faction in WWE for nearly two years. However, a former WWE host believes two members could leave the group following SummerSlam.
The superstars in question are Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest. While The Archer of Infamy will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther at The Biggest Party of the Summer, The Eradicator will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship.
On his The Wrestling Matt podcast, former RAW Talk host Matt Camp claimed a massive change could happen in The Judgment Day if both superstars leave Cleveland without the titles.
While Camp predicted that Dominik Mysterio would betray his Mami and side with Liv Morgan for booking reasons, he claimed The Eradicator and Priest might leave their faction if they lose at SummerSlam:
"Maybe both Priest and Rhea realize at the end of SummerSlam if they both don't walk out with championships that their time has come to an end in Judgment Day. And maybe you really see them both get launched as babyfaces," he said. [48:53 - 49:08]
Matt Camp says Damian Priest must drop his title at WWE SummerSlam
On the same episode of The Wrestling Matt podcast, Matt Camp addressed the recent developments in Damian Priest's feud with Gunther. The two superstars brawled on RAW before officials and security interfered to separate them.
The former RAW Talk host claimed The Ring General should walk out of SummerSlam with the World Heavyweight Championship:
"Gunther [vs.] Priest feels a little bigger. I still don't feel it's huge. It's just a weird time to do the match when Priest isn't fully a babyface. Gunther has to win," he said.
Former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci has also suggested Finn Balor could be the one to betray Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam, leading to the break up of The Judgment Day. It would be interesting to see the group's future after SummerSlam.
