2 massive WWE legends returning on RAW's first episode on Netflix must happen, says veteran; Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns III should take place too

WWE RAW will move to Netflix in January 2025. A wrestling veteran recently claimed two massive legends must be on the first episode of the red brand on the streaming platform.

The legends in question are none other than The Rock and John Cena. The Final Boss last appeared on WWE TV on the episode of RAW After WrestleMania when he confronted Cody Rhodes to promise he would go after him upon his return from hiatus. Meanwhile, The Leader of the Cenation announced at Money in the Bank that he would embark on his retirement tour in January 2025, hinting that he would be on the first episode of RAW on Netflix.

On the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, former interim RAW General Manager Jonathan Coachman stated that Cena and The Rock must be on the first episode of the red brand in January. He also claimed the company should book a third match between Rhodes and Roman Reigns for the show. The American Nightmare and The Original Tribal Chief battled each other at WrestleMania 39 and 40.

"To me, you've gotta throw every star you have and bring back some OGs to be in the show too. You gotta make this like a WrestleMania, what three weeks before Royal Rumble? And then to me, Rock's gotta be there, Cena's gotta be there. You know, Cody and Roman gotta go one-on-one. You've gotta pull everything out, don't you?" The Coach said. [14:21 - 14:43]

Ex-WWE employee thinks The Rock will return in January to target Cody Rhodes

On the same episode of the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Jonathan Coachman's co-host, former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci, discussed The Rock's anticipated comeback.

The man who spent over 30 years in the Stamford-based company predicted that The Final Boss would not be at Survivor Series. Instead, he will return in January to go after Cody Rhodes:

"I don't think Rock's gonna show up at Survivor Series. [You don't think so?] No, because of his movie, the part two of [Moana]. I don't think he's showing up until January and that's where he'll pick up with Cody I think," he said.

The American Nightmare will team up with Roman Reigns to fight The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu at Bad Blood in October. It will be interesting to see where Rhodes will go from there.
