2-time RAW Women's Champion has retired from WWE in-ring competition, according to Liv Morgan
A two-time WWE RAW Women's Champion has quietly hung up her wrestling boots, at least in the eyes of Liv Morgan. That would be none other than Becky Lynch, who left the Stamford-based promotion earlier this year.
Big Time Becks had a memorable run in 2024. She won the Women's Elimination Chamber Match in Perth to punch her ticket at WrestleMania XL, where she failed to dethrone Rhea Ripley.
Unfortunately, Mami had to relinquish her title days later due to an injury. Her setback turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Becky Lynch. She won the vacated Women's World Championship in a 14-woman Battle Royal on the April 22 edition of RAW.
Shortly after, she engaged in a rivalry with Liv Morgan, who embarked on a revenge tour. The Miracle Kid fulfilled her prophecy at King and Queen of the Ring by knocking Becky Lynch off her perch.
The two women would face each other in a rematch a few days later, but this time inside a Steel Cage. Morgan successfully retained her title after Dominik Mysterio once again caused interference.
Since then, speculation has been rife about The Man being retired from wrestling, and her cryptic social media post has only fueled those rumors.
In an interview with Billboard, Liv Morgan asserted that she ended the career of Becky Lynch, and her continued absence justifies her claims.
"I did! Did I not?! Have you seen Becky Lynch since I made her lose the title and gave her a rematch the next night and made her lose again? Have you seen her since then?"
Will Becky Lynch return to WWE?
Becky Lynch is said to be enjoying her time off from WWE. Many people within the company believe the two parties would be open to doing business again if the situation warrants it.
Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, backstage analyst Sam Roberts thought Big Time Becks would likely be back sooner rather than later.
"Think about how much bigger this division is going to get in very short order, right? Already, hypothetically, to come back at some point, you got Becky Lynch, who is out right now but has never said she's retired from wrestling. Now look, maybe she is, but realistically, I think there's a good chance that she'll be back in WWE sooner rather than later."
Amidst her hiatus, Liv Morgan continues to remind the WWE Universe that she sent Becky Lynch into retirement. Has Triple H planted the seeds for a future feud? Only time will tell.
