2-time WWE champion reveals why he prefers a dream match against Roman Reigns over Cody Rhodes
WWE Superstars Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, two former adversaries who once engaged in an intense rivalry, will now unite to face The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa at the upcoming Bad Blood Premium Live Event. Meanwhile, Trick Williams recently explained why he would like to face The OTC in a future dream match rather than The American Nightmare.
Williams became the NXT Champion earlier this year at Spring Breakin' after defeating Ilja Dragunov. However, the 30-year-old star lost the title to Ethan Page at the Heatwave PLE.
In an interview with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, Trick Williams was asked who he would like to face in a future dream match. The former NXT Champion and NXT North American Champion expressed his admiration for Roman Reigns as the top wrestler in the industry.
He acknowledged Cody Rhodes' accomplishments but emphasized the former WWE Universal Champion's long-standing dominance and suggested that anyone aspiring to be a top star should aim to face him.
"Roman Reigns. He's the top guy in the business right now. I mean, shout out to Cody Rhodes, who is amazing. I'm glad that he finished and started his new story. But Roman, he's the guy who's been the cornerstone of the business for a while now. So if you don't want to match with him, then you don't really want to be here," Williams said. (H/T: CVV)

Former WWE host says Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns III could happen next year but not at WrestleMania
Rhodes and Reigns went head-to-head at both last year's and this year's WWE WrestleMania. However, at the 40th edition of Showcase of the Immortals, The American Nightmare finished his story.
Speaking on an episode of the Busted Open podcast, Matt Camp said he believes that Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes could potentially have a third match on the first episode of RAW on Netflix in January 2025. The former WWE host suggested that this match could be a significant event to kick off the show's debut on the streaming platform.
"I think January 6th, 2025, when Netflix gets RAW for the very first time, is going to have at least one very big match. If they did Cody [vs.] Roman again to start Netflix, and I think they're gonna have to mess with the rosters a little bit with RAW going to two hours, you know, maybe SmackDown will go to three next year, I think they're gonna put something very big on that show," Camp said.
It remains to be seen if the WWE Universe will witness another round of Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns in the future.
