2-time WWE Champion reveals the "real main event" of Bad Blood; takes a shot at Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns' matchup

As confirmed on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will join forces to face off against The Bloodline in the main event of Bad Blood tonight. However, Drew McIntyre has expressed his disagreement with the main event match chosen by the Stamford-based promotion's creative.

The Scottish Warrior is set to lock horns with CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell Match. The two stars will collide for the third time, with McIntyre winning the first bout at SummerSlam and The Voice of The Voiceless emerging victorious in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin.

Since the animosity between the two men is intense, the WWE Universe imagined that Punk and McIntyre's clash inside the unforgiving steel structure would main event the premium live event in Atlanta. However, as per a recent report, The Scottish Psychopath vs. The Best in the World inside Hell in a Cell will be the opener for the night.

In an interview with The Takedown on SI, Drew McIntyre took some shots at the matchup featuring Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu and claimed that his match against CM Punk would be the real main event. The former two-time WWE Champion emphasized the unique opportunity he has with his rival to create a match that surpasses the main event.

"It's the real main event of Bad Blood. It's Drew McIntyre and CM Punk. Punk and I, no matter what we think about each other, have a unique opportunity to create a match just as good, if not better," McIntyre said. [H/T : SI]

Wrestling veteran expects CM Punk to defeat Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood

WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW commentator Jim Ross recently expressed his thoughts on the highly anticipated match between The Second City Saint and The Scottish Warrior.

On his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross stated that he believed CM Punk would win the match against Drew McIntyre at Bad Blood and that both wrestlers would deliver their best performances. The Hall of Famer also thinks that this will likely be the last tag match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

"I expect Punk to win. And I expect the performance of both guys to be their best work and that's good enough for me. The question would be would you close the show with that or the tag match is booked and that's the hard one to answer? I know it'll be [the] last Reigns and Cody's tag match at least I think that," Ross said.
