2-time WWE champion takes credit for Joe Hendry's NXT appearance
The latest edition of NXT had some big surprises in store for fans, including Joe Hendry’s appearance. A two-time WWE champion took credit for the TNA Wrestling star’s appearance on the show. That would be Trick Williams.
Joe Hendry has become a social media sensation ever since he appeared on NXT for a 25-man Battle Royal a few weeks ago. The 36-year-old star appeared in a tag team match on the latest episode of NXT.
Hendry showed up in the main event of the show at a time when Trick Williams was desperate to find a partner for his match against Shawn Spears and NXT Champion Ethan Page. Hendry and Williams picked up the win, with the former delivering the final blow.
While speaking in a WWE Exclusive after the show, Whoop That Trick took credit for Joe Hendry’s appearance on the show. He noted that all he had to do was say the TNA star’s name.
"It felt good to get a little payback on Spears and Ethan Page today. But trust and believe, I will not rest until I get my NXT Championship back. Shout-out to Joe Hendry. All I had to do was say his name," Trick Williams said.

Hendry praised Trick for his performance in the ring. In the end, the two men shared a brief hug to end things on a high. It would be great to see them lock horns in the ring down the line.
Joe Hendry's popularity could land him a WWE contract
Many top names in the wrestling industry could land a WWE contract soon. One of the biggest stars who has gotten extremely over with the NXT Universe is Joe Hendry.
Fans have been cheering for the 36-year-old star ever since WWE and TNA Wrestling collaborated. Hendry has already made two appearances, with his first breaking many social media records for WWE in 2024.
The TNA Wrestling star recently teased a potential match against John Cena after emerging victorious in his first tag team match in NXT. While that may be too far-fetched, Shawn Michaels and Triple H could book him in some big feuds while he is in TNA.
That could end up helping him gain more fans and also take him to the next level. That could help the Scottish star become one of the most sought-after stars outside the Stamford-based company.
