2-time WWE Champion will never wrestle again in the Stamford-based company, says Dutch Mantell
Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell recently discussed the future of a two-time WWE Champion. He claimed the 48-year-old will never compete inside a WWE ring again.
The superstar in question is Bobby Lashley. The All Mighty is currently on his second run in the Stamford-based company. However, he has been absent from television since April. According to the latest reports, the multi-time World Champion has been removed from the internal roster as rumors suggest the company will not renew his contract, which is set to expire soon.
Wrestling veteran Mantell discussed Lashley's rumored departure on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast. The former Zeb Colter believes the star's time as an in-ring competitor in WWE has come to an end forever:
"You can't put him in the first match because that's really embarrassing to the company and to him and to fans. What the fans, the first thing they're gonna think, 'Wow! He went down the card. He's opening the show?!' So, you actually devalue what his worth was, and his worth was of course is not what it was five-six-eight years ago. So, you actually devalue the company and him at the same time. So, the best thing to do is separate from him. And I think this is the last time we'll probably see Bobby Lashley in WWE in an active in-ring role," he said. [From 03:05 to 03:52]

Dutch Mantell thinks Bobby Lashley should retire after potentially leaving WWE
Over the past few years, several former WWE Superstars have joined AEW. On his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the wrestling veteran pointed out that Bobby Lashley could also make that move following his potential departure from the Stamford-based company.
However, Mantell disclosed that he thinks Tony Khan's promotion would not know what to do with the 48-year-old either. Hence, he feels it is time for Lashley to step away from the ring and hang up his boots:
"If AEW picks up Bobby Lashley at this point, I don't think they would know what to do with him either. And how old is he? He's in his late 40s, and it's time for him to step out of the ring and go do something else."
If the rumors about Bobby Lashley leaving the Stamford-based company are true, it would be interesting to see his next step and whether he will leave the wrestling business for good.
