2-time WWE champions send first message after destructive return on RAW

On this week's WWE RAW, a popular tag team made a powerful return, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The team members have now broken their silence on their respective social media handles.

Ivar and Erik, formerly known as The Viking Raiders, have previously captured the NXT Tag Team Championship and the RAW Tag Team Championship once. Last night on the red brand, the duo made a surprise return, reverting to their original name from their 2018 NXT debut, the War Raiders.

For those unaware, Ivar had not wrestled since losing to Oba Femi on April 30, 2024, while his partner, Erik, had been sidelined with a neck injury since September 2023.

The War Raiders returned to WWE on Monday Night RAW on October 14, 2024. In their comeback match, Erik and Ivar secured a dominant win over Otis and Akira Tozawa of the Alpha Academy. This victory advanced them to the next round of the World Tag Team Championship Number One Contenders Tournament.

On their respective Instagram accounts, the former NXT Tag Team Champions sent out chilling messages after their destructive return.

"RAW IS WAR," Ivar wrote.

Ivar reacts to a major push suggested by a WWE fan

Before his triumphant return to RAW last night, War Beard had a significant opportunity to capture the NXT North American Championship in April. Unfortunately, he fell short in a match against Oba Femi.

Meanwhile, a WWE fan on X/Twitter suggested Ivar should get a match at a PLE upon his return. The 40-year-old later responded to the post:

"👀."

As of now, the War Raiders have advanced to the next round of the number one contenders tournament for the World Tag Team Championship, which is currently held by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day.

It remains to be seen whether Ivar and Erik will become the new tag team champions on the RAW brand or if they will split up to pursue singles careers in the coming weeks.
