24-year veteran going through intensive procedure for recovery during WWE absence
A 24-year wrestling veteran has been absent for over a month on the WWE main roster. The former champion recently went through a recovery procedure shared on social media.
Natalya was last seen on the June 3rd edition of WWE RAW, competing against Kiana James. However, she was recently absent backstage on the July 2nd episode of RAW amid reports of her contract status. She has an expiring deal, and there's no concrete update on negotiations between the two sides.
In a recent story on her official Instagram account, The Queen of Harts shared a video of a hyperbaric chamber inside her house. The machine's brand is Eleve Health, and its Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy helps enhance the user's bodily functions.
"Back in my hyperbaric chamber today. Oxygen to my entire body for performance/recovery/brain," Natalya wrote.
With almost two and a half decades into the wrestling business, Natalya has put her body through a lot. She can take all the recovery time she needs since she's been a very valuable member of the roster over the years.
Regarding her contract, the company has been quiet about whether they will sign her to an extension or let her walk. Several stars such as Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Chad Gable have signed new deals, while others like Becky Lynch, Ricochet and Dijak let their contracts expire.
Natalya has been wrestling since 2000, with WWE since 2007
As part of The Hart Family, Natalya began training at the famed "Dungeon" in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She was the first woman to be trained there and made her wrestling debut in 2000. She wrestled on the independent circuit and went on tours in countries such as England and Japan.
Natalya eventually signed with WWE in 2007 and was assigned to Deep South Wrestling before moving to Ohio Valley Wrestling. She was called up to the main roster in April 2008 as a heel and never looked back.
In 17 years with the company, Natalya has won the Divas Championship, SmackDown Women's Championship and WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.
