25-year-old star has released a major project outside WWE
A young star has released a major project outside WWE. This comes during her hiatus from the company due to injury.
Nikkita Lyons is one of the promising young stars in NXT's women's division. She has been on the roster for quite a while and was starting to showcase her potential when she suffered an injury earlier this year in a match against Blair Davenport.
The injury has kept her on the shelf for several months and completely derailed her career for the time being. However, the 25-year-old star has found a way to keep herself busy during this downtime.
It was recently reported that WWE star Nikkita Lyons released her music video for "To Be A Champion" during her time away from the ring. This is also her first single ever.
WWE star Nikkita Lyons provided an update on her return date
Nikkita Lyons' potential run at the top of the women's division came to a screeching halt after she suffered a severe injury. Despite the setback, the WWE NXT star is quite confident about her return.
The star appeared on Booker T's Hall of Famer podcast where she stated that she recently underwent surgery and was optimistic about her recovery. She even stated that she hoped to be fully healed by Halloween Havoc in October.
“It’s been two months since my surgery, and honestly, I feel like these two months went pretty quick, at least for me, because run on the grind every day. But right now, I’m hoping by Halloween Havoc. I’m hoping that’ll be a good time. But also I want to make sure… it should be ready to go. But I don’t want to say an exact, you know, like, ‘It’s gonna be here,’ because with injuries, it’s kind of day by day," Lyons said.
It will be interesting to see who will be Nikkita Lyons' first opponent upon her return to the ring.
