250 lb WWE Superstar recently lost major championship as a punishment from Triple H, says veteran
A wrestling veteran has addressed a WWE Superstar's recent loss of a major championship. He claimed the star was being punished by Triple H for something the wrestler did backstage.
After capturing the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam by defeating Sami Zayn, Bron Breakker dropped the title to Jey Uso on Monday Night RAW on September 23. The fast-rising star's reign lasted only 51 days, despite many expecting him to have a long run with the prestigious championship. In a recent interview with the Hitting The Turnbuckle podcast, former WWE head writer Vince Russo predicted why Breakker's reign ended so soon.
Russo claimed the 250-pound RAW Superstar was probably being punished by the Triple H-led creative team for something he did backstage.
"Bron Breakker losing to Jey Uso, no doubt, bro, Bron did something backstage where that was a punishment because there's no way in their right minds, if they had a clue to anything they were doing, that they would have taken that belt off of him unless that was a disciplinary action to put him in his place because that made zero sense," he said. Bron Breakker turned heel again on WWE RAW
Bron Breakker played a heel character as he feuded with Sami Zayn over the Intercontinental Championship earlier this year. However, the 26-year-old seemingly turned babyface following his loss to Jey Uso. The second-generation WWE Superstar shook Jey's hand in a gesture of respect after the latter beat him for the title on RAW.
Nevertheless, The Dog of WWE turned heel again last Monday on the red brand, taking out Jey, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods.
After the show, Breakker took to Instagram to post photos of himself standing over Kingston and Jey.
"Respect," he wrote.
While it seems that Breakker still has his eyes set on recapturing the Intercontinental Championship, it will be interesting to see if he succeeds in his endeavor.
