26-year-old WWE star comments on his relationship with Goldberg after recently being spotted with the Hall of Famer
Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker has opened up about his relationship with Goldberg. He commented on whether he's received any important advice about the wrestling business from the veteran.
The two stars were spotted together several days ago at a college football match in Colorado. They both competed in the NFL before transitioning to pro wrestling. It's no secret that the 26-year-old star was a huge fan of the former WCW World Champion growing up. He uses a spear as his finishing move and even has a similar tattoo on his shoulder.
During a recent appearance on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Bron Breakker was asked if the WWE Hall of Famer gave him some advice when he broke into the industry that he has utilized in his career. He responded by saying:
"No, I mean not one piece, not one thing. It was just – Goldberg's always been a friend of mine and he was a friend of my dad's back in the day. They rode together and stuff and they did a lot of cool things and Golberg's always been a part of our family just in terms of, years. (...) Just really cool, it's good to see him. Good to talk with him, was good to catch up and talk about his son because his son's on Colorado's football team, so I went, and it was cool, man. It was just good to be in a football environment again. It's been a few years since I've been on a field and stuff like that for game day, so it was cool," said Breakker. [10:10-11:21]
Bill Apter on Goldberg possibly returning to WWE at Survivor Series
Several weeks ago, Bret Hart made an appearance on RAW and was involved in an in-ring segment with Gunther. The latter claimed that Goldberg was his favorite wrestler while The Hitman was second.
On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, veteran journalist Bill Apter commented on the former Universal Champion possibly making a return in November.
"The thing with Goldberg, wouldn't it be interesting if something we don't know about is going on behind the scenes where Goldberg will be upset at this thing? And maybe when they do in Vancouver, British Colombia, they do the Survivor Series, maybe they'll have Bret Hart as a guest again, and maybe Bill will just come out, and they'll do a staredown?" Apter wondered.
The WCW legend's last match in WWE was at Elimination Chamber in 2022, where he unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Title.
