26-year-old WWE star would've been "better off financially" in Tony Khan's AEW, says veteran pro-wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer
A current WWE Superstar would be better off in All Elite Wrestling as per the latest comments made by veteran journalist Dave Meltzer. The reporter feels NXT's Nathan Frazer would have been financially better off in AEW.
Nathan Frazer had a strong outing at NXT Deadline on December 7, 2024. At the event, Frazer and Axiom defeated the No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne & Tavion Heights) to retain the NXT Tag Team Title. Frazer also competed in the Men's Iron Survivor Challenge and impressed the WWE Universe with his in-ring moves.
Dave Meltzer had big praise for Nathan Frazer following the event on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio. He hinted that Frazer probably would've been better off if he had gone to AEW.
"It’s gonna be hard because main roster is a different animal. When I was watching him I thought he’s a guy who would’ve probably been better off financially had he gone to AEW, because in AEW that’s kind of rewarded more. I don’t know if he’s gonna do great on the main roster but in AEW, that speed would get him a good contract if nothing else." [H/T WrestleTalk]
Dave Meltzer also brought up Darby Allin while talking about WWE's Nathan Frazer
Meltzer further said that Frazer is bound to get a good contract once he makes his way to the main roster. He then hinted that Frazer is like Darby Allin, as in someone who's got to be in All Elite Wrestling.
"I think he’ll get a good contract on the main roster but I don’t think he’s got the same upper mobility. It’s like Darby (Allin), Darby has got to be in AEW. If he was in WWE he’d be nothing."
Frazer has been a mainstay in World Wrestling Entertainment for about four years now. He also had a brief stint in Tony Khan's AEW before getting signed to a deal with the Stamford-based company.
