26-year-old WWE Superstar calls Natalya her wrestling mom

A young NXT Superstar has referred to former WWE veteran Natalya as her wrestling mother. The name in question is Lola Vice.

The former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion joined the Stamford-based company in 2007 and has been with the wrestling promotion since. She has been an integral part of the roster, having won multiple titles and being part of several memorable moments over the years. The 42-year-old has featured on several NXT Shows this year.

On Week 2 of NXT Spring Breakin' 2024, Natalya locked horns with Lola Vice in the first-ever NXT Women's Underground match. The two put forth a highly entertaining back-and-forth contest, which ended with Vice standing tall after interference from Shayna Baszler.

During a recent appearance on the Mark Moses Show, Lola Vice opened up about her experience competing against the veteran performer. The NXT star claimed the match will forever be in her memory. Vice added she respected Nattie and referred to her as a legend. She further praised the former WWE Divas Champion and called the latter her wrestling mom:

"That was incredible. Natalya put in a good fight. She brought it. She's a legend. I respect her. Thankfully, I got the win that day and was able to knock her out. That is a memory I'll take with me forever. I think of Natalya as like my wrestling mom. I just pick her brain and ask her so many questions. She is so knowledgeable amazing and talented. Fighting her was a dream come true because I used to see her on Total Divas. It was full circle for me. I'm glad I got to experience this with her," she said.

Wrestling veteran unhappy with WWE Superstar Natalya's lackluster booking

Despite being one of the most experienced performers on the roster, Nattie has suffered losses in most of her recent matches. Wrestling veteran Konnan recently expressed his displeasure over her dismal booking.

During the K100 w/ Konnan & Disco podcast following the former Hart Dynasty member's loss to IYO SKY in the first round of the Queen of The Ring tournament, the 60-year-old shared his take on the match. He praised the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champion and her in-ring abilities while criticizing the wrestling promotion for the latter's questionable booking:

"Yeah, it was good [the match between Natalya and IYO SKY]. Natalya is always in shape, looks good, [and] can still go, but she never wins. They never take her seriously. But I don’t know why they do her like that," he said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc]

Neidhart has been absent from the action since her victory over Izzi Dame on the June 4 edition of NXT. It remains to be seen when she will return to WWE programming.
