26-year-old WWE Superstar forced to tape up ribs before major title defense at NXT Deadline

WWE Superstars doing double duty on premium live events isn't a new concept, but it doesn't happen very often. A star was forced to tape up his ribs before a major title defense at NXT Deadline.

NXT Deadline saw the 26-year-old Nathan Frazer pull off one of the most incredible double duties. He was a part of the opening Iron Survivor Match, where he got one pinfall but fell short to Oba Femi - who scored three pinfalls to become the number-one contender for the NXT Championship.

Frazer, who had a war in the Iron Survivor Match, was also scheduled for a Tag Team Title match with Axiom against No Quarter Catch Crew's Myles Borne and Tavion Heights. Backstage, Frazer insisted he was fine defending the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles despite his ribs being completely bandaged.

It seemed like Frazer and Axiom's reign was coming to an end because of the clear disadvantage, but in a miraculous and epic match, they managed to retain the titles - with Axiom getting the winning fall.

This was one of the most defining nights of Nathan Frazer's career, and WWE officials will be happy with how he performed in both matches.

The question is this - what lies ahead for Frazer and Axiom?
