27-year-old star shares honest opinion on Becky Lynch taking a break from WWE
Current WWE RAW Superstar Lyra Valkyria has shared her thoughts on her former rival Becky Lynch going on a hiatus. The two stars were involved in a storyline in NXT last year.
They are both from Ireland and faced each other for the first time in the main event of Halloween Havoc Night 1 in 2023, which saw Lyra dethrone The Man to win the NXT Women's Championship for the first time in her career. Valkyria went on to hold the coveted title for 165 days.
During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Lyra Valkyria said working with Becky Lynch was amazing. She was hopeful that Big Time Becks would return to WWE very soon.
"Sometimes, some of these moments just hit you at random times. Because you just go day-to-day and you do what you're doing, but even just chatting to you now and you going back over everything that's just happened and it's only been like four months, it's actually like, 'Oh my God!' I obviously love every chance I get to work with Becky. She's amazing. But yeah, I hope she comes back soon," said Valkyria. [3:27-3:55]
Nia Jax wants another face-off with Becky Lynch when she returns to WWE
The Irresistible Force's history with The Man is very well documented. After the former returned to WWE this year, the two stars were involved in another feud.
Nia Jax is now the WWE Women's Champion, and she revealed in an interview with Adrian Hernandez that she would like to face Becky Lynch again when she returns.
"You know what? Becky Lynch is going to go down as one of the greatest in our business. So, I feel like she has put in a lot of work, and she has earned her time off (...) I hope one day, when she does come back, we get to have another face-off again because I don't think we are done with our business. So, we'll see," Jax said.
Becky has been off WWE TV since June 1, when her contract reportedly expired. Many fans are still looking forward to her return.
