27-year-old WWE star sends bold message ahead of Money in the Bank
WWE Money in the Bank 2024 is just a week away, and fans in Toronto, Canada are buzzing with anticipation for the premium live event. Meanwhile, former NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria took to social media to share a powerful message.
Valkyria secured a decisive win in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank Qualifying Match against Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler on the June 24th episode of Monday Night RAW. This victory marks her first-ever shot at the coveted briefcase in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Lyra Valkyria shared that she began her professional wrestling journey almost 10 years ago and that her road to success was not easy. However on July 6, Saturday at the Scotiabank Arena, the former WWE NXT Champion vouched to grab the Money in the Bank briefcase.
"It all started 10 years ago today for me🪶 It takes 10 years to become an overnight success...but grabbing that Money in the Bank briefcase in Toronto next week will just take one perfect moment! 🪶💰," she wrote.

As mentioned earlier, the 27-year-old female star would be competing in her first-ever MITB match. After Monday Night RAW, Valkyria commented on her win.
During a WWE Exclusive backstage interview, the former NXT Champion shared being on cloud nine after defeating The Queen of Spades and the Damage CTRL member.
"Kairi Sane, Shayna Baszler, in itself, what a victory. But that victory just took me to Money in the Bank in Toronto. Biggest victory of my career yet. Do you know how many Superstars have made their name, cemented their name in the history books through winning the Money in the Bank ladder match? I'm coming up on 10 years since I stepped foot in a ring for the very first time in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland. 10 years. And to win Money in the Bank, the very same day that I started this all, I can't think of a better way to cement my name among the very best," said Valkyria.
As of this writing, Naomi, Tiffany Stratton, IYO SKY, and Chelsea Green, will join the 27-year-old in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match. It will be fascinating to see Lyra Valkyria potentially winning the WWE Women's MITB briefcase to eventually cash in on Liv Morgan or Bayley's title.
