3-time World Champion explains why he re-signed with WWE
Earlier this year, WWE re-signed and released several superstars heading into the new era. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre explained why he decided to stay with the company.
Drew McIntyre had an outstanding start to the year when he punched his ticket to a title match at WrestleMania XL and received a heartwarming moment with his family and fans after winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Later, tragedy struck for Drew McIntyre and his family, and the star took some time off from the company for the first time.
In an interview with Bleacher Reports' WrestleRant, the former World Heavyweight and two-time WWE Champion explained the unfortunate events in his life and how Nick Khan and Triple H's support made him re-sign. He also expressed how WWE has changed and the company's new outlook also became a reason for him to stay with the promotion.
"Thankfully, Nick Khan and Triple H are very understanding about the family aspect and what I need from the company right now, what I need for my family right now, and what I need perhaps outside projects, and we figured everything out," McIntyre said. [From 10:28 to 10:43]

What's next for Drew McIntyre in WWE?
Earlier this year, Drew McIntyre won the World Heavyweight Championship and held onto it for a few minutes as an attack from CM Punk allowed former Judgment Day member Damian Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and become the new World Champion.
The event has scarred The Scottish Warrior as he's willing to go to any lengths to destroy The Second City Saint. The two have been at each other's throats for months.
Last month, Drew McIntyre scored a win over CM Punk at The Biggest Party of the Summer in Ohio. However, The Best in the World evened it out in Germany when he defeated The Scottish Warrior in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin.
After the loss, Drew McIntyre brutally attacked CM Punk on RAW. Later, Adam Pearce confronted The Scottish Warrior and booked a Hell in a Cell match between the two on WWE Bad Blood.
