3-time WWE champion confirms he will never wrestle again due to career-ending injury
A former WWE Tag Team Champion recently confirmed that he would never compete again inside the squared circle. He explained that he had come to terms with that fact.
TJ Wilson (FKA Tyson Kidd) joined the Stamford-based company in 2006. Over the next nine years, the 44-year-old held three Tag Team Championships. However, he suffered a spinal cord injury during a dark match against Samoa Joe in June 2015. He has since stepped away from in-ring competition.
In a recent interview with the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast, Wilson was asked about the possibility of returning to in-ring action again. The former Tag Team Champion confirmed that it would never happen:
"No, I won't wrestle again. I'll never wrestle again, which is, you know, it might sound a little bit, you know, very matter of fact but it is for me. It's been my reality for almost six years now. So, I've more than come to terms with it. When people hear me say that, I think they get a little taken aback but I just, I know myself. I know myself very well. And I just know that I'll never wrestle again. And I'm totally fine with that," he said. [From 02:33 to 03:02]

TJ Wilson says he lives through WWE talents
Since stepping away from in-ring competition, TJ Wilson has transitioned into a backstage producer. He disclosed that he gets to do everything he did as a talent except taking bumps.
The former Tag Team Champion stated in his interview with the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast that he was proud of his in-ring career and now gets to live through current WWE talents:
"I'm proud of my career. I had a good almost exactly 20-year in ring career. And my career is not over. It's just a different, and now I'm in chapter two. And I'm not in the ring anymore, but I get to do everything but besides be the person in the ring. But I get to vicariously live through the talents. So, I almost get a lot of fulfillment. I just don't have to take any of the physical. I don't get any physical side effect so it's all good," he explained. [From 03:03 to 03:33]
Wilson is married to WWE Superstar Natalya Neidhart. She is currently active on Monday Night RAW.
