3-time WWE champion reflects on why the fans hate him; Liv Morgan connection revealed

WWE Superstars often get heat from fans when they are booked in unappealing storylines or perform poorly in the ring, leading to negative reactions and sometimes even outright boos. One of the current top heels in the company is Dominik Mysterio and fans are not afraid to show how they feel about him.

The young Mysterio is a one-time SmackDown Tag Team Champion and a two-time NXT North American Champion. The star officially turned heel when he betrayed his WWE Hall of Famer father Rey Mysterio in 2022 and joined forces with The Judgment Day.

As if things couldn't get any more chaotic, Dirty Dom made a jaw-dropping "mega" heel turn after he stabbed Rhea Ripley in the back to be with the reigning WWE Women's World Champion Liv Morgan at SummerSlam 2024.

In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet of INSIGHT, the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion was asked why the fans hate him so much. Dominik Mysterio attributed the fan hatred towards him to his perceived attractiveness and his on-screen relationship with Liv Morgan.

The Latino Cheat believed fans are envious of his success and good looks, despite never having wronged anyone:

"Other than jealousy, because I'm good-looking, have the best hair, best mustache, basically breed champions, and I have the best Women's World Champion by my side Liv Morgan, of course. So I can understand why people are jealous. I don't get why they hate me. I've never done anything to them. They’re civilians," said Dominik. [H/T: CVV]

Dominik Mysterio breaks silence on a dangerous spot at WWE Bad Blood

At the 2024 Bad Blood Premium Live Event in Atlanta, Morgan and Ripley clashed for the WWE Women's World Title. Interestingly, Dirty Dom was confined in a Shark Cage suspended above the ramp to prevent interference during the title match.

However, in an attempt to escape from the cage, the 27-year-old WWE star fell from the top and was left dangling upside down. The Nightmare took advantage of the situation and laid waste to Dominik Mysterio with a kendo stick.

During the same interview with Chris Van Vliet of INSIGHT, Latino Cheat revealed that the spot was not originally planned. Dom Dom broke his silence on the incident and stated that his experience was traumatizing:

"Well, it was supposed to keep me just in the cage. Yeah, it wasn't supposed to, I don't know what was supposed to go down, but that was supposed to just keep me in the cage so I didn't leave and, I didn't mess with the match or do anything. But yeah, it was definitely traumatizing. I was up there for a long time."

For the upcoming premium live event in Saudi Arabia on November 2, Liv Morgan vs. Nia Jax is scheduled for the Women's Crown Jewel Championship.

It remains to be seen if second-generation WWE Superstar will play a role in helping Morgan to potentially become a double champion at Crown Jewel.
