3-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion teases "goodbye" after Bad Blood

Hell in a Cell matches have infamously shortened the careers of WWE wrestlers. The three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, recently shared a cryptic post hinting at his immediate future.

The Straight Edge Superstar will find himself in the same situation when he faces Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event on October 5. This will likely be the culmination of their year-long rivalry.

The two men first fought each other with a special guest referee, Seth "Freakin" Rollins, at SummerSlam this year. That night, CM Punk let his emotions get the better of him as he lost to Drew McIntyre in an attempt to reclaim his bracelet, which had his wife, AJ Lee, and dog, Larry's names on it.

In the second meeting, Punk exacted his revenge when he defeated McIntyre in a Strap Match at Bash in Berlin. Ahead of their trilogy, The Second City Saint has made it clear that he's prepared for the Hell in a Cell match to be the end of his career.

Earlier today, CM Punk took to his Instagram stories to share a post saying, "Always be ready to say goodbye to anything."

What's next for CM Punk after WWE Bad Blood?

More often than not, CM Punk is known to cause a stir on social media with his cryptic posts. The most recent example of this is his recent Instagram story.

The Best in the World, however, plans to move on once he's done with Drew McIntyre. There were rumors that WWE wants Gunther vs. CM Punk at Survivor Series: WarGames this year. The Straight Edge Superstar even called out The Ring General after Bash in Berlin.

But the idea has likely been scrapped since the Chicago native is no longer advertised for any episode of RAW after Bad Blood.

It will be interesting to see if he will be written off following his Hell in a Cell match on October 5.
