31-year-old star finally breaks silence after sudden WWE debut

A popular 31-year-old WWE star has finally broken her silence after her sudden debut on this week's edition of NXT. The name in question is Stephanie Vaquer.

During the last segment of the white and gold show, Roxanne Perez and Giulia came out for an in-ring press conference ahead of their much-anticipated clash for the NXT Women's Championship next week on the CW Network.

However, before the show went off the air, Stephanie Vaquer finally made her on-screen debut via a vignette, in which she sent a warning to both Perez and Giulia for their upcoming match.

Vaquer has now taken to X (fka Twitter) to break her silence after the latest edition of NXT. The 31-year-old star wrote that her place has always been that of a champion, seemingly setting her eyes on the NXT Women's Championship.

"My place has always been that of a champion… Mi lugar siempre a sido el de una campeona….," she wrote.

Shawn Michaels personally announced the signing of Stephanie Vaquer on July 10, 2024.

Thunder Rosa said nobody in AEW was expecting Stephanie Vaquer to sign with WWE

Before signing with WWE, Stephanie Vaquer made a few appearances in All Elite Wrestling, where she faced one of the company's biggest stars, Mercedes Mone. Many people were expecting Vaquer to sign a contract with the Tony Khan-led company. However, the world was shocked when Shawn Michaels announced the 31-year-old's signing.

During an edition of the Busted Open podcast, AEW star Thunder Rosa said a lot of people were caught by surprise when Stephanie Vaquer's WWE signing was announced.

Rosa added that nobody expected it to happen because she was making appearances in All Elite Wrestling.

"I was not even expecting that. I didn't even know that was happening, and I think a lot of people were kind of caught by surprise. It's been a roller coaster of comments and emotions from fans and other people... She is a great talent, as you guys saw recently here in AEW. I think everything happened so fast because she was presented at AEW on a humongous platform, and then she had a match with Mercedes Mone, then next week she like signed with WWE," she said.
