31-year-old star wants a match against Liv Morgan at WWE SummerSlam 2025
WWE SummerSlam is set to get bigger in the coming year, and one superstar in particular seems to have a plan in mind for a match in New Jersey. Recently, Sonya Deville stated she wants to face Liv Morgan at the premium live event in 2025.
Liv Morgan has crossed over 100 days as the Women's World Champion and defeated notable names such as Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley while defending her title in the past few months. The 30-year-old star reached new heights in WWE as a member of The Judgment Day, alongside Dominik Mysterio.
However, the champion has new and old faces to go up against, and Sonya Deville wants to go head-to-head with Morgan in New Jersey. Speaking on WWE Deutschland, the 31-year-old star was excited about the two-night event at MetLife Stadium and picked Liv Morgan as her ideal opponent for the show.
"I just had goosebumps cause I saw the announcement just a few minutes ago. I was like I will do anything to be on that pay-per-view. I will be on that New Jersey, MetLife Stadium SummerSlam PPV if that's the last thing I do. It has to be against Liv Morgan. Jersey girl. It has to be against the champion. I mean there's so many stories that we can build in. There are so many things we can tell. We're both Jersey girls. I mean it's got to be Liv [Morgan]," Deville said. [From 30:38 to 31:12]

Liv Morgan had a short feud with Sonya Deville on WWE SmackDown
In 2022, Liv Morgan finally ascended to the top of the card as she became the SmackDown Women's Champion by getting a win over Ronda Rousey. The run was underwhelming and she dropped the title back to The Baddest Woman on the Planet.
Later, she crossed paths with Sonya Deville, who had spent months as an authority figure on Friday Night SmackDown and eventually lost her managerial powers in a feud with Naomi. Deville berated Morgan after losing the title, and the two feuded on the brand.
In October 2022, the two stars clashed in singles competition, which ended in a double disqualification. Later, a no-DQ match was sanctioned, which Morgan won in November. The two superstars have also collided in tag team matches after their feud. However, they haven't had a singles bout in the promotion since 2022.
