31-year-old WWE star goes on a rant after surprise exclusion, takes shots at Dakota Kai

The tournament to crown the first-ever Women's Intercontinental Champion kicked off on the latest episode of WWE RAW. A total of 12 women were announced for the tournament.

One surprising omission from the bracket revealed was Sonya Deville, particularly given that her Pure Fusion Collective stablemates, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, were included. The 31-year-old star took to X/Twitter to express her frustration.

In her rant, Deville questioned whether her exclusion was due to her not bragging about herself.

"I would post the rest of the video but I wouldn’t wanna get 'in trouble'," Deville wrote.

She even took a jab at Dakota Kai, suggesting that fans only support her now because of her recent return from injury.

"You have Dakota Kai in the tournament. Now we are applauding her so much because she has come back from her fourth injury in four years, and that's something to brag about now? That's something that's rewarded now? What are we doing?" Deville said.

Kai advanced in the tournament by defeating Shayna Baszler and Katana Chance in a first-round triple-threat match on the latest episode of Monday Night RAW.

Dakota Kai sends a message after her recent victory on WWE RAW

Dakota Kai is emerging as one of the favorites to become the first-ever Women's Intercontinental Champion. Following her first round victory, she spoke with Cathy Kelley in a backstage interview.

Kai reflected on her career, acknowledging its ups and downs. Despite her accomplishments, she has never won a singles title in WWE.

With the Women's Intercontinental Championship now in her sights, Kai vowed to prove to everyone that she deserves it more than anything.

"Cathy, oh my God, I'm so pumped! I mean, you know more than anyone how my journey has been filled with ups and downs, ins and outs. But if there's one thing that's evaded me during my whole time in this company, it's been singles championship gold. And that [Women's] IC Championship would look so good around my waist. It's in my crosshairs right now. It's my time, it's my time! I can't wait to prove to everyone, as well as myself, that I deserve this more than anything," she said.

It will be interesting to see what WWE has planned for the Damage CTRL member as the tournament progresses.
