31-year-old WWE star reveals he will miss his homecoming show

WWE is gearing up for a massive show in Cleveland, Ohio on August 3. As SummerSlam is getting closer, the company is establishing key players in the game, like The Bloodline.

Solo Sikoa's new formation of The Bloodline picked up a huge win over Randy Orton, Andrade, and LA Knight in Mexico City at a recent WWE live event. Tonight's house show will be at Nuevo León's capital city, Monterrey, which is the hometown of SmackDown's Angel Garza.

Angel Garza, 31, is a member of Legado Del Fantasma, a stable led by Santos Escobar on Friday nights. Garza took to X/Twitter to inform his fans that he will not be part of the upcoming live event:

"Desafortunadamente hoy no estoy en el #Supershow de mi ciudad natal MONTERREY NL pero disfruten y espero verlos para la próxima," he wrote. Translation: "Unfortunately today I am not in the #Supershow of my hometown MONTERREY NL but enjoy and I hope to see you next time."

Garza and Humberto Carillo picked up a win on SmackDown last Friday night against Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews.

Could Santos Escobar receive the honor of retiring WWE Hall of Famer?

Several top stars of yesteryear are looking to ride off into the sunset soon. One of them is WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio.

In 2023, Mysterio reformed the Latino World Order by uniting with Santos Escobar and the latter's Legado Del Fantasma stable. However, by the end of the year, Escobar ended his alliance with the luchador legend and reverted back as the leader of his own faction.

While it is unclear when Rey Mysterio will retire, he disclosed to CBS Sports recently that Santos Escobar is someone he considers an ideal final opponent in WWE, if not for his son Dominik Mysterio:

"If I had to pick another opponent out there, I truly believe that because we tap into our roots, Santos Escobar would be a person that I would most definitely would love to face."

Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio feuded with one another on the Road To WrestleMania XL, with the latter picking up the win at The Show of Shows in a tag team match. The bout also featured Andrade on Mysterio's corner, while the Hall of Famer's son on Escobar's.
