33-year-old discusses recent major loss and inspiration from WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio is still going strong at 49 and is already a WWE Hall of Famer. He is best known as the ultimate babyface underdog in the eyes of wrestling fans. The Hall of Famer's stablemate Zelina Vega says that she would rather get inspiration from him than his son Dominik Mysterio.

Taking to X/Twitter, Vega discussed her loss to Women's World Champion Liv Morgan on Monday Night RAW this week. "Dirty" Dom interrupted the match and self-admittedly attempted to help Zelina, only for the latter to use the steel chair he gave her on him.

The former WWE Queen of the Ring refusing to cheat ultimately did not do her any favors, as Liv Morgan took advantage of the commotion and hit her finisher, ObLIVion, for the win.

"But you live.. you live to fight another day. Fr tho. When you’re trying to do things the right way and prove people wrong, you don’t take the easy way out and cheat to finally get the win I’ve been waiting for. In a world full of Domidiks I’d rather be a Rey, and if that means that I lose this time bc they cheated, I’ll fight like hell until I win," Zelina Vega wrote.

Later that night, Rey Mysterio locked horns with his son in a match that saw the father pick up the win. It remains to be seen whether Latino World Order's issues with The Judgment Day and Liv Morgan are over for now.

Rey Mysterio comments on Zelina Vega's loss on WWE RAW

Rey Mysterio defended his decision to step out into the arena during Liv Morgan vs. Zelina Vega for the Women's World Championship in a WWE Digital Exclusive. He pointed to "Dirty" Dom's actions and how that hurt Vega's chances at becoming the new titleholder.

When asked by Cathy Kelley to comment on his son's romantic angle involving Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, the elder Mysterio was not interested in getting involved in any form or fashion:

"I, like probably any other parent, I'd rather stay out of it because I don't wanna be involved. Me coming out today after Dom stepped out, in Zelina and Liv's match, was only to make sure that nothing shady happened. And of course, we saw what happened. Apparently, Dom was out there to help Zelina win. Well, that didn't happen and if it weren't for Dom, she (Vega) would be champion right now," said Mysterio.

Earlier today, Zelina Vega named WWE Hall of Famer Lita as an inspiration for her using an iconic move during her match against Liv Morgan.
